My best friend forever (well, since we were 7) found this quilt top at an estate sale and paid $.25 for it!!! That's 25 CENTS! I talked her into letting me quilt the top......It was a challenge. The quilter had handpieced it and wasn't too accurate with seams, etc. But I think it came out great!!!! Thank you, Diane, for trusting me with this!!!
I had the honor of longarming 4 quilts for a customer. The quilts were pieced by her late mother-in-law. It was fun to do some of the traditional designs........and have free reign for the quilting. Thank you Pattie, for trusting me with these treasures!

It's been a while since I posted!!! This quilt is called SOUTHWESTERN --- the pattern for the quilt is called Midnight in Santa Fe by J. Michelle Watts. My friend, Patrick pieced the quilt and I quilted it for the Yuma Shriner's to raffle off this winter! The total size is 97" x 100". There are so many components to it....all freemotion quilted. This was a fun quilt to make! YES, I actually found time to piece this quilt -- I actually designed, pieced AND quilted it. It's a special quilt for my hairdresser :) We bartered -- I won't be paying for hair cuts for a lONG time to come. :) I got the patterns for the blocks from various places ---internet, books, magazines AND one block is my own design. And here's ANOTHER Stack and Whack for customer, Cathy. This has more detail - more custom quilting. Notice the McTavishing on the white inner border and the pebbles in the squares and triangles in each block. These designs take a long time but are SO impressive!
